Manchester United and Man City Women fixtures confirmed for Sky Sports and BBC TV coverage

Manchester City Women's opening fixture of the season will be broadcast live on BBC One, while Manchester United Women begin their campaign live on Sky Sports.

Under a new broadcasting deal this season, Women's Super League fixtures will be broadcast live on Sky and BBC, with the aim to build a new audience for women's football.

City have been one of England's top teams for some time, and have narrowly finished second to Chelsea in the last two seasons. United reformed in 2018, earning promotion to the WSL in their first season. They have finished fourth in both WSL campaigns.

United will open the new season at home to Reading on Friday September 3, with new boss Marc Skinner's first game to be broadcast live on Sky.

The following day, City travel to Everton in a game that will be shown live on BBC One.

City's game against Tottenham on September 12 and their trip to Arsenal two weeks later will be shown on Sky. United's clash with Chelsea on September 26 will be live on BBC Two, while their game at Birmingham on October 3 has been picked for Sky's coverage that weekend.

Perhaps the biggest TV pick of the new deal so far comes on Saturday October 9, when United host City in the first derby of the season in a game to be shown live on BBC One on a weekend when the Premier League is on an international break.
