Manchester United and Man City receive Kalidou Koulibaly transfer update from Napoli

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has admitted the club would consider selling Kalidou Koulibaly to Manchester United or Manchester City this summer - but only for €100 million.

The 28-year-old has been linked with a move to several big European clubs after another impressive campaign at the heart of Napoli's defence.

MEN Sport understands Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is an admirer of Koulibaly but United are not prioritising signing a central defender this summer following Harry Maguire's arrival from Leicester. Manchester City are keen on a centre-back and have been persistently linked with Koulibaly but MEN Sport understands the noise is being almost entirely generated by the Naples club, and City do not hold a serious interest in signing him.

President De Laurentiis has revealed that he would consider offers for star players Koulibaly and Spaniard Fabian Ruiz this summer, but only if the offers were for around €100million each.

The Napoli president told Corriere Dello Sport : "If City or United or PSG with €100m showed up, I would think about it and it is probable that they would leave, always if their will was to leave.

"I don't even consider an offer of €60m. I am solid, if I wanted to win the Scudetto at any cost today I would find myself with three, four hundred million debts.

"I look around and see companies at 500, 600 million, less a billion. I don't owe anyone s***."
