Manchester United and Man City Premier League places for 2019/20 season predicted

Manchester City were crowned champions on the final day of the 2018/19 Premier League season, after seeing off stiff competition from Liverpool.

But Jurgen Klopp's side responded to being edged out in the league by winning the Champions League just a few weeks later.

And it is expected that the two teams will battle it out again for the Premier League crown next season, with City backed as odds-on favourites to retain the title for the third season in a row.

Liverpool are 11/4 to bring an end to a long wait for a league title, while Tottenham are tipped at 16/1 to secure a first title since the 1960's.

Meanwhile, United, ranked at 22/1, clearly have work to do if they are to be considered as contenders and their odds are the same as Europa League winners Chelsea.

That leaves Arsenal at 28/1 as the outsiders from the established top-six, with the Gunners clearly seen as the least likely to challenge for a title and a top four spot.

Beneath them, Wolves, Newcastle United and Everton are all backed at 150/1, clearly seen as the trio most likely to upset the elite at the top of the table but still looking off the pace.

Newly-promoted duo Sheffield United and Norwich City are seen as the least likely to contend and look favoured for relegation, alongside Burnley, while Aston Villa are tipped to settle quickly back in the Premier League.

Here are the latest odds from SkyBet.
