Manchester United and Manchester City fans want to see their clubs back calls for the transfer window to close in line with other major European leagues.
For the last two seasons, the Premier League transfer window has shut on the Thursday before the start of the new season to avoid disruption to their squads when the campaign has begun.
But with other major European leagues having until the end of August to complete business, clubs have found themselves at a disadvantage to their rivals on the continent.
In United's case, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Chris Smalling and Matteo Darmian have all departed Old Trafford after the deadline for bringing in replacements passed.
At City, injuries to John Stones and Aymeric Laporte since the start of the season might have forced the club into the transfer market to bring in defensive reinforcements.
Both United and City are among the clubs reportedly pushing for the transfer deadline to be pushed back to the end of August, and given their dealings this summer it seems the majority of their fans agree.
When MEN Sport asked both sets of fans when the transfer window should close, the end of August date was the clear favourite.
Among United fans, 82 per cent of the 1,460 respondents backed the 'End of August' option, with 59 per cent of City fans choosing the same option.
There was more support for the current deadline among City fans, with 38 per cent happy with the early-August cut-off. There were only 16 per cent of United fans happy with that option.
