Manchester United and Man City FA Cup semi-final opponents confirmed

Manchester United will face Southampton in the semi-finals of the FA Cup if they beat Leicester City in their quarter-final tie on Sunday evening.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are currently drawing 1-1 at half-time of their last-eight encounter at the King Power Stadium with a Wembley showdown against Saints up for grabs.

Meanwhile, Man City will face Chelsea at Wembley in the other semi-final with the matches set to take place on the weekend of 17-18 April, with the final four weeks later on 15 May.

Pep Guardiola's side booked their place in the final four of the competition after a professional 2-0 win over Everton on Saturday night. Late goals from Ilkay Gundogan and Kevin De Bruyne sealed the victory for the Blues at Goodison Park.

The draw for the semi-final stage of the competition took place at half-time of United's clash with Leicester, with both sides now knowing their possible opponents should they win the tie.

United are looking to end their four-year hunt for a trophy having failed to do so under the guidance of Solskjaer so far, while City are looking to win their ninth major honour under Guardiola.
