Manchester United 'agree' to Paul Pogba negotiations as Real Madrid open talks - latest rumours

Manchester United have agreed to open negotiations with Real Madrid over the sale of Paul Pogba - according to a report.

The French midfielder is determined to leave Old Trafford this summer with Madrid the likely destination if he is allowed to go.

He's currently in Australia with the United squad for pre-season but looked unhappy as he flew out of Manchester on Sunday.

And now Real Madrid have managed to make some movement in their bid to sign him by getting United to begin discussions, according to Spanish outlet libertaddigital.

United want a fee of more than €150million but Madrid hope to be able to use some of their fringe players, such as Isco or Gareth Bale, as bait to bring the price down.

They are also looking to sell either of those, plus James Rodriguez and Dani Ceballos in a bid to raise the funds needed to buy Pogba.

The World Cup winner was the Old Trafford club's top goalscorer last season and the only Man United player named in the team of the year.

But he was regularly made the scapegoat when things were going wrong and wants to go somewhere he is more appreciated.
