Manchester United 2020/21 home kit design ‘leaked’

Manchester United’s 2020/21 home kit will have vertical abstract black and yellow stripes on a traditional red background, according to a ‘leaked’ design.

United are yet to announce their latest offering from adidas, but designs and kits often surface online before the official release - some being closer in accuracy to the final kit than others.

Footy Headlines, who often share these ‘leaked’ designs, have now brought forward a possible design for United’s next home kit based on a supposed football from an adidas range, which features the yellow and black vertical stripes along with the United badge.

The article says the equivalent ball that adidas have ‘produced’ for Juventus has the same design that will then go on the club’s first team shirt.

As a result, they have mocked up what the design on the United ball would look like on a first team shirt, using a white adidas logo and plain United badge which appears to have lost the black shield from the 2019/20 shirt.

They suggest the red shirt with black and yellow design will be accompanied with the traditional white shorts and socks.

Earlier this month, ‘leaked’ designs for the away and third shirts suggested ‘legacy green’ away colours with a black and white ‘dazzle camouflage’ pattern for the third kit.

Footy Headlines suggest United's third kit next season will feature a bold and unique look for the club with a new 'dazzle camo' unlike anything seen before.

The initial leak suggests United are planning to release a line of leisure wear utilising the new black and white design, with the third strip potentially incorporating the same pattern.

According to the report, United's new third strip will feature the dazzle camouflage while the club logo and adidas manufacturer logo will be embroidered in the club's traditional red.

Dazzle camouflage originated during the World War and was designed not with the desire to conceal a target but to make it difficult to estimate range, speed, and direction.
