Manchester tax advisory ABGI has announced it is opening two new premises around the UK as well as adding 20 jobs.
The innovation advisers said they had opened a new regional office in Newcastle, where nine members of staff will be based at Citibase on Market Street.
That becomes the firm's fifth UK office, along with Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Birmingham.
Initially operating remotely, when Covid-19 restrictions are due to be lifted next week, the team of nine new Innovation Funding Advisers (IFAs) will base themselves from the Newcastle office covering clients from across the North East of England.
A further 10 IFAs, including a new team leader, have also been recruited at ABGI’s Edinburgh office.
Two new Technical Analysts join in London where the company has moved into a new, larger premises in Broad Street.
ABGI UK CEO Scott Henderson said: “We’re very excited to announce this new investment across the UK which includes a new premises in the North East of England, where we see strong growth potential for the business.
“The new hires and move to a larger office in London reflect our growth across the South East of England, while the new appointments in Edinburgh will provide support to our wider network of UK colleagues.
“With the UK economy facing major challenges, grant funding, tax relief measures and other innovation-focused incentives will have an increasingly important role to play in supporting business growth. This additional investment will ensure we are well-placed to advise more companies and help them secure these support measures.”
