Manchester student performs hilarious DJ set to empty train during coronavirus pandemic

The UK has this week gone into full lockdown as the coronavirus pandemic continues its spread across the globe.

It's meant that restaurants, bars, clubs and pubs have been forced to close their doors in the interest of public safety, and the prospect of a night out any time soon is quite rightly off the cards.

So when one Manchester student found himself on a deserted train between Piccadilly and Euston this week he decided to seize the opportunity to throw a party.

Harry Spring's hilarious footage of the journey shows him cheering on the audience of zero while mixing on his DJ decks, fields and farms whizzing past the windows.

The budding DJ, freelance video producer, and sociology student was on his way back to his family in London and found himself alone on the usually busy Avanti train service.

He said: "I felt obliged to keep the driver entertained as it turned into somewhat of an Uber ride! I did not see a single person get on that train other than me.

"I had about four employees to me - the one passenger.

"All I was thinking as I was doing it is there's just so much news at the minute that's absolutely depressing and scary, so this was just a chance to make people smile."

He ended the set by waving to the empty carriage and thanking carriage H, the 'best venue in London'.

Harry hopes to recreate the moment at a later date when passengers are safe to return to the train line, to raise money for charitable causes.

The MMU student has returned to his native London to work on his coursework and freelance projects while the coronavirus pandemic continues.
