One of Manchester city centre's most popular late-night venues has closed temporarily, after 'a load' of staff were told to self-isolate by NHS Test & Trace.
Crazy Pedro's has shut its Bridge Street bar and restaurant for now, stressing that customer and staff safety was its 'top priority'.
While the bar itself is closed, its neighbours at The Liars Club will take over the large outdoor terrace, which sits on the fringes of Spinningfields and Deansgate.
A post on their Instagram said: "Due to a load of our staff needing to self isolate we’ve taken the decision to close our Bridge Street site until this all blows over*
"Our staff and our customers safety is obviously our top priority.
"Well, that and giving you an amazing time!
"With that in mind we’ve got the crazy kids from The Liars Club taking over the terrace until we reopen.
"Go easy on them, and let them use your sunscreen! They’re used to being stuck in a basement...
"I’m going for a Tiki drink on the terrace!"
It's the latest in a string of stop-start temporary closures around the city centre, with several prominent venues forced to close over the late May bank holiday weekend.
Gary Usher's renowned Kala restaurant on King Street also announced a temporary closure over the weekend.
Independent businesses say they're struggling to operate once any team members are told to self-isolate, running the venues with only small teams to begin with.
Anyone who held a booking for Crazy Pedro's will be contacted with alternative arrangements, bosses say.
