Manchester rock icon Noel Gallagher's teenage daughter Anais hospitalised

Anais Gallagher has revealed how she ended up being hospitalised after spending five days in agony.

The teenage daughter of Manchester rock icon Noel Gallagher was filmed in her hospital bed with a drip in her arm.

Nineteen-year-old Anais explained she was treated at the Princess Grace Hospital in Marylebone after developing an ulcer after an antibiotic tablet got stuck in her oesophagus, the muscular tube that carries food from the throat to the stomach. The symptoms became so bad Anais was unable to eat or drink.

Model Anais took to Instagram to inform her followers about her ordeal and to tell them that she had been discharged.

She wrote: "About a week ago I took an antibiotic tablet and lay down. It got stuck in my oesophagus (I was completely unaware of this) and burned the tube causing an ulcer.

"I then for the next five days was in agony but three days ago it became so bad I couldn't eat or drink so I was admitted to hospital.

"The nurses and doctors at the Princess Grace hospital pumped me full of fluid and medication and now I'm much better."

Her mum Meg Mathews, 53, filmed her daughter in her hospital bed as she prepared to take her home.

"Look at my little Nay Nay, she's just waking up. I hope I can bring you home," said Noel's ex wife.

"She's been so brave to have that drip in," said Meg.

"Soon we will leave this hotel, I mean hospital room. My gorgeous baby girl, we're going home."

In April Anais, contributing editor at fashion magazine Tatler, sparked Brit pop nostalgia on social media by dressing up as Oasis legend Noel and fans commented on the 'uncanny' likeness.

"Did someone say Brit pop ???" asked Anais on Instagram, striking a pose as her singer-songwriter dad from the band's famous 1996 gigs at Maine Road, the former home of their beloved Manchester City.

Anais was signed to a modelling agency at 11. Her first modelling assignment was for Paul Smith childrenswear collection in 2010.

She modelled for Accessorize when she was 14 and she has also modelled for Dolce & Gabbana and Reebok.
