The tea bar and grill on Chester Street, which serves Indian and Pakistani cuisine, has 100 tiffin lunches to give away on Wednesday May 22.

The first 100 people through the door from 12 noon will be treated to a starter, two curries, rice and a naan, on the house.

Meat, vegetarian and vegan options will be available.

Tiffin boxes packed with meals and snacks - prepared at home or delivered from a restaurant - are a popular workers' lunch and a longstanding tradition in India.

They traditionally have at least three layers and are delivered by couriers known as dabbawalas, usually by bike or train.

Zouk's tiffin lunch deal usually costs £7.95 and includes a daily-changing selection of curries such as chicken jalfrezi, lamb laziz, broccoli paneer and dall makhani, along with appetisers including chicken imlee and paneer tikka. Grill dishes are also available as an alternative to curries.
