Manchester Pride 2019 is edging ever closer with tens of thousands of people set to descend on the city this weekend.

The four-day event will take place across the bank holiday weekend from Friday August 23 to Monday August 26 with plenty of love at its heart.

The big event will stretching from Mayfield to Deansgate , with The Depot, The Yard, The Sorting Room, The Platform and The Arches as they are transformed into a true rainbow spectacular.

From Manchester Pride Live at the Mayfield itself, headlined by honorary Mancunian Ariana Grande , to the annual Pride Parade, Gay Village Party and the Candlelit Vigil which will round off this year's proceedings in Sackville Gardens, the weekend is sure to be jam-packed and completely unmissible.

But there is another big question, will the sun shine or will rain bring the chance of more rainbows?
