Manchester named one of the most expensive UK cities for a pint - where it ranks

With the World Cup fast approaching and the first game kicking off this weekend, we know football fans will be flocking to the pub to catch a game and support England.

Enjoying a cold pint while cheering on the Three Lions is often must for football fans out there, but how much does a pint cost you in each UK city?

The average cost is for a pint in Manchester has been found to be £4.44, putting the city in the top ten most expensive cities to buy a pint.

Betting.com released the list which places Manchester at the number 7 most expensive city in the UK for a pint. Other cities in the top ten include Belfast, which would cost you £5.20 per pint, and Liverpool, coming in fourth at £4.65.

The city crowed the most expensive to enjoy a pint in the UK, was found to be London where the average pint costs £6.00.

Manchester pub goers could be forking out to enjoy a refreshing pint and watch the football. But it’s not all doom and gloom for all the Mancs out there, as you could be paying a whopping £11.21 per pint if you’re catching the World Cup in person.

The World Cup hosts, Qatar, were found to have the most expensive pint out of the 32 World Cup Qualifiers.

The capital city Doha could set drinkers back over £11 per pint, costing almost double the average cost in London. £4.44 in Manchester doesn’t sound so bad after hearing the cost of a beer in Qatar.

But if you’re looking for an even cheaper pint, Wolverhampton is the place to go with the average price being only £2.50 after they are ranked the cheapest UK city for a beer.
