Manchester law group Metamorph expands again after Hampshire firm acquisition

Greater Manchester-based law group Metamorph has acquired a Hampshire law firm, taking its total headcount to over 630.

Metamorph's acquisition of Knight Polson takes its number of offices in the South East county to five, with the group now boasting nine firms across England.

Sale-headquartered Metamorph, which primarily focuses on private client work, said the deal takes the group's underlying revenue to around £35m per annum, with 110 staff now based in Hampshire alone.

Knight Polson was previously part of the Quality Solicitors group, with services including conveyancing, criminal, family and litigation.

Metamorph Group’s executive chairman, Tony Stockdale, said: The acquisition of Knight Polson adds further depth and quality to our client service offering, especially in the south of England. A firm with great people, and an envied local reputation for delivering exceptional service, it’s clear that they’ll be an excellent addition to our team.

"The deal is yet another step forward in our objective to become one of the leading law firms in England focused on private client and SME work.”

The group's firms also include North West-based Linder Myers and Beaumont Legal, which was acquired in April.
