Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder over the death of a homeless man found in a burning tent in Manchester.
Police say two men, both from Manchester and both aged 24, are being held in custody for questioning.
Daniel Smith's body was discovered by emergency services after the blaze was extinguished at the site beneath a railway bridge in Ordsall, Salford.
A Home Office post-mortem examination concluded the 23-year-old died from multiple injuries. It is thought Smith was attacked before the tent was set on fire deliberately on 20 January.
Mr Smith, originally of Ashton-under-Lyne, is thought to have been living rough for around two years, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The area where Smith was found was home to a number of homeless people, who later held a vigil for him.
Flowers and lanterns were left in tribute close to where the attack took place.
