Manchester gigs and shows with tickets on sale this week - May 10 to May 16

The week has spun round fairly fast after the first May bank holiday. And as soon as we've got our heads back in the working groove, it's practically the weekend again.

The shows up for grabs this week include a headline tour for Geordie singer-songwriter Sam Fender, as well as a last minute tour announcement for Ricky Gervais at Manchester Arena.

Ricky Gervais is riding a career high on the back of his hit Netflix series After Life.

Now The Office star is hitting the road again on his latest stand-up tour, SuperNature.

The comedian has announced a string of UK dates including a show at Manchester's O2 Apollo on May 21. An international arena tour will follow next year, after filming and production on the second series of After Life.

The Manchester show is the first in a string of dates throughout October 2019.

The tour announcement follows news of their upcoming debut album, I Can't Even Speak English, which is due on August 16. The title track off the album is out now.

Thrice and Refused have announced details of a joint headline UK tour for autumn 2019.

The two veteran rock bands will play at Manchester Academy on October 31.

Thrice released their latest album Palms in 2018, while fans are awaiting news on new mater from Refused whose last album, Freedom was released in 2015.

Canadian reggae-rock duo Bedouin Soundclash will be joined at Gorilla this October by London-based band, The Skints, who are set to release their latest album Swimming Lessons on May 10.
