Manchester gigs and shows with tickets on sale this week

You wouldn't believe it's mid June with the lack of sun we're seeing this summer.

But thankfully, Manchester's music scene is hotting up with a whole host of concert tickets and shows up for grabs.

This week's lineup includes popstar Charli XCX at the Albert Hall, Freya Ridings at the O2 Apollo and Giovanna Fletcher brings her Happy Mum, Happy Baby tour to Manchester's Stoller Hall.

Plus, if you're a boxing fan, you can grab tickets to see Manchester's Anthony Crolla sharing his career highlights at The Lowry this September.

Reel Big Fish, Manchester O2 Ritz

American band Reel Big Fish are the O2 Ritz this November (www.jodiphotography.co.uk)

Reel Big Fish have announced details of their UK tour coming up later this year.

The American ska-punk band from California are best known for their 1997 hit single, Sell Out, which became a modern rock radio favourite.

Renowned for their juvenile humor and ironic covers of pop songs, the band continue to tour relentlessly in the US and across the globe.

You can catch the band at the O2 Ritz on November 10.

NSG, Manchester O2 Ritz

British rap group NSG are taking to Manchester's O2 Ritz stage this October.

Earlier this year the group's hit Options had huge success at the top of playlists and radio stations across the country.

The East London collective consists of six members - Kruddz, ODG, Papii Abz, Dope, Mxjib, and Mojo, who are lifelong friends.

Reverend and The Makers, Manchester Academy 1 

October 19, 2019

Reverend & The Makers are set to release a best of collection, Best Of Reverend & The Makers, on September 20.

A UK tour has now been announced to mark the release where the British rock band will perform a selection of their greatest hits for their fans.

The tour will start at Rock City in Nottingham on October 3 before heading to Manchester's Academy 1 on October 9.

Freya Ridings, Manchester O2 Apollo

November 14, 2019

Freya's hit single Lost Without You shot to the top of the charts after featuring on hit ITV show Love Island last summer.

Her single was the highest charting song without major label support since Stormzy's Blinded By Your Grace in November 2017.

Since then, the youthful singer-songwriter has found success with her own UK tour, and is also set to be supporting Hozier in the US in October.

Freya Ridings will perform at Manchester's O2 Apollo in November.

IDER, Manchester Band on the Wall

When London flatmates Lily Somerville and Megan Markwick joined forces they never predicted the success their harmonious pop music would amount to.

The girls say Ider is the “mysterious third band member” that manifests itself when they harmonise together.

Their debut album, Emotional Education, will be released on July 19 ahead of their European tour in 2020.

Charli XCX, Manchester Albert Hall

Charli XCX has announced her UK tour with a stop in Manchester in October (Charli XCX is coming to Manchester to promote her third studio album 'Charli')

Charli XCX is heading to Manchester's Albert Hall this October to promote her long-awaited third studio album, self titled Charli.

Charli rose to fame in 2013 with her Icona Pop collaboration, I Love It, which became an international hit.

In addition to her solo work, Charli XCX has co-written songs for other huge artists including: Iggy Azalea, Selena Gomez and Blondie.

Charli will be released September 13 ahead of her UK tour in October.

Happy Mum, Happy Baby, Manchester Stoller Hall

Giovanna, wife of McFly's Tom Fletcher, has had huge success with her incredibly honest book about motherhood, Happy Mum, Happy Baby.

The Sunday Times no.1 bestselling author continued the conversation when she began a podcast where she talks to fellow parents about their own journeys.

Now, Giovanna is coming to Manchester to share her personal account of parenting with a live audience.

Giovanna says the tour will be about uniting mums and dads and sharing honest conversations about family life.

Dermot Kennedy, Manchester O2 Apollo

December 19, 2019

Singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy is best known for his 2018 single, Power Over Me.

The Irish musician developed his sound while busking in multiple cities, including Dublin, Ireland and Boston in the United States.

He's since found fame in the UK and has announced a tour later this year to promote his debut album, Without Fear, scheduled to be released on September 27.

Ringside Stories, Salford Lowry Lyric Theatre

Mancunian boxer Anthony Crolla is set to appear at The Lowry Theatre with renowned trainer and manager Joe Gallagher this September.

After a number of incredible bouts, Crolla will give fans the chance to hear a first-hand insight into his 44-fight career, as well as the fateful night in December 2014 that put his entire career in jeopardy.

The former WBA lightweight champion said he hopes to sign off with one final farewell bout in Manchester before officially calling it a day.

Scarlxrd, Gorilla

November 19, 2019

British rapper and singer Scarlxrd is known for his unique music style combining elements of trap music and heavy metal.

Formerly a YouTube personality known as Mazzi Maz, Scarlxrd began a career in music as the lead vocalist for metal band Myth City before debuting as a rapper under the name Scarlxrd.

He rose to fame after the music video for his single Heart Attack gained significant attention, holding over 61 million views on YouTube as of June 2019.

Scarlxrd is heading to Manchester's Gorilla in November as one of the final stops on his world tour.
