Manchester foodies could win FREE tacos - but only if you can find hidden city centre token

Eagle-eyed Mancunians could be in with a FREE meal if they can find one of the hidden tokens dotted around the city centre. To celebrate the launch of its brand-new food menu, Revolucion de Cuba will be giving away meals to customers who strike gold in their huge treasure hunt.

A total of 1,800 tacos will be dished out free of charge across the UK until the end of October, feeding 900 lucky customers.

In Manchester, the chain has stashed 50 ‘taco tokens’ around the city, which will earn the finder a delicious freebie. The tokens will entitle the holder to one free taco dish - containing two tacos - from any of the Revolución de Cuba branches, but of course, Peter Street’s is your nearest.

The tokens are already in situ waiting to be discovered, made from seeded paper, which means that, in the tragic case of any of them not being discovered, they will biodegrade and grow into wild flowers. Very cute.

The taco treasure trail comes as the tasty dish features prominently on the brand-spanking new Revolución de Cuba food menu, with a range of fillings from ‘ginger beer chicken with pineapple salsa’, ‘pulled beef with tomato salsa’ and ‘mojo pulled pork with pineapple salsa’, there is also a vegan ‘jackfruit chilli’ choice, ensuring all taco tastes are catered for.

Each token grants its discoverer a free taco dish of their choice to redeem between now and the end of October. It’s limited to one token per customer, and is not valid in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.

Tacos aren’t the only fresh feature on the menu, either, with Cuban fish and chips being a new addition to the themed menu. Premium tapas options are also available, such as albondigas, anchovies and bruschetta, as well as desserts like a churros and banana pancake stack.

Revs is launching a new lunch offer, where guests choose a lunch dish of their choice, with a soft drink or coffee, for £7.95 – available every week day. Soft drinks can be upgraded to alcoholic drinks for an additional £2.

For those who prefer to dine on the weekend, there’s also the Taco Sunday offer, when all taco dishes are just £2. Bargain.
