Manchester derby kick-off time confirmed as Man City host Manchester United

The Premier League have confirmed the exact date and kick-off time for the first Manchester derby of the Premier League season.

Originally the game had been scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 2 at 4:30pm. Although the date remains the same, the kick-off time for the highly anticipated fixture has been brought forward.

The fixture will now kick off at 2pm. Sky Sports will still be broadcasting the clash between Pep Guardiola's side and Erik ten Hag's men.

This fixture could be subject to change should Manchester City be involved in Champions League action on the following Tuesday. City will discover their European opponents on Thursday, August 25.

City managed to complete the double over United last season. In November, an Eric Bailly own goal and a Bernardo Silva finish ensured the Blues were 2-0 victors.

Later that season, City would beat United 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium on their way to lifting the Premier League trophy. October's fixture will be Ten Hag's first Manchester derby as manager of the Reds.
