Manchester Crown Court closed due to power issues

Manchester Crown Court will remain closed today due to power difficulties.

It is understood that there was a power cut over the weekend, and the building has been unable to regain power.

Due to health and safety concerns, the building, located in Crown Square, will remain closed.

All cases listed today have been relisted to tomorrow.

A spokesperson for the building told awaiting people outside the building this morning: "There were issues with power over the weekend and they've not been able to get it back on.

"As it is a health and safety concern, the building will remain closed for the day.

"All cases today will be listed tomorrow."

Manchester Magistrates' Court has not been affected.
