Manchester has been flooded with colourful characters as the MCM Manchester Comic Con returns this weekend.
The spectacular two-day convention got underway today as thousands of comic book, sci-fi and fantasy fans assembled at Manchester Central.
And those attending did not disappoint with their costume efforts this year, with the likes of Ricky and Morty, Harley Quinn and Frank Sidebottom being spotted in the city centre.
Firm favourites were popular characters from Game of Thrones, Star Wars, and Marvel universe heroes and villians.

Visitors to the convention this year have the chance to meet Guardian of the Galaxy's Michael Rooker and Sean Gunn and Detroit Become Human's Bryan Dechart and Amelia Rose Blaire.
The Cosplay Masquerade is taking place today on the main stage, where cosplayers get the chance to display their handmade costumes.
