Manchester City XI vs Tottenham: Confirmed team news and substitutes

Kevin De Bruyne has been named among Manchester City's substitutes for tonight's Premier League clash against Tottenham at Wembley.

De Bruyne, who is working back to full fitness following a knee injury, had been concerned about the state of the Wembley pitch last week.

The middle of the Wembley turf was in a poor condition ahead of Sunday's NFL clash between he Jacksonville Jaguars and the Philadelphia Eagles, and worsened after a night of rain and bruising action.

De Bruyne had said of the pitch even before the NFL clash: "It's going to be difficult. I'm not sure how it's going to be. We hope it will be OK and that we can play like we normally do."

Elsewhere for City, Pep Guardiola has opted for a centre-back pairing of John Stones and Aymeric Laporte to counter the threat of Harry Kane, while Riyad Mahrez, Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero lead the line.

Man City XI: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Laporte, Mendy, Bernardo Silva, Fernandinho, Silva, Mahrez, Aguero, Sterling

Subs: Kompany, De Bruyne, Sane, Otamendi, Gabriel Jesus, Foden, Muric

Tottenham XI: Lloris, Trippier, Sanchez, Alderweireld, Davies, Dier, Dembele, Sissoko, Lamela, Lucas Moura, Kane

Subs: Son, Winks, Walker-Peters, Alli, Gazzaniga, Eriksen, Aurier

Referee: Kevin Friend (Leicestershire)
