Manchester City star sends message of support to Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis

Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has sent a message of support to Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis.

The England full-back will have been hoping to face Arsenal tonight in the Premier League, however, that game was called off after the Reds boss contracted coronavirus.

The move to postpone the game came about after Marinakis attended Arsenal's UEFA Cup defeat to Olympiacos, the other team the Greek shipping magnate owns, last month.

Walker subsequently took to Twitter to wish Marinakis well as he backed the decision to call the fixture off.

Marinakis is now taking what he called the 'necessary measures' to tackle the virus, with Arsenal reportedly isolating players and staff who had prolonged contact with him.

Both players and staff from Forest and Olympiacos have been tested for coronavirus, with all tests coming back negative .

it is yet to be confirmed whether Forest's Championship game against Sheffield Wednesday will go ahead on Saturday.
