Manchester City star John Stones sends Chelsea warning ahead of Champions League final

John Stones has insisted Manchester City will "learn" from their two recent defeats to Chelsea.

City have lost both of their recent meetings with the Blues - 1-0 in the FA Cup semi-final and 2-1 in the Premier League - with Thomas Tuchel getting the better of Pep Guardiola.

This weekend, though, the two clubs will go head-to-head for the prestigious Champions League trophy, with Chelsea looking for their second and City searching for their first.

Stones, when talking to City's official website, is adamant his team will not be fazed by the two recent defeats to Tuchel's side and they will be a better side for the losses when the two meet at the Estadio do Dragao on Saturday evening.

When asked whether the two defeats will have an influence on the final, the England defender said: "Definitely not, we always learn from things that have happened in the past.

"It's a Champions League final, everyone will be nervous. But the lads wouldn't be where they are now without having to control these things.

"Big pressure, big games, we've got the calibre of players for this occasion.

"We deserve to be there and hopefully we can be stood talking with a Champions League trophy for us and for the fans.

"We take a lot of things we've learned from the games we've played Chelsea.

"We beat them at Stamford Bridge, I know it was a different manager. I thought we were hard done by in the last game, but it is a totally different kettle of fish. It is a final, we have got the calibre of players, we have been in so many finals and we have got the passion to win it."
