Manchester City's Callum Doyle tipped to become Sunderland's most important transfer

Sunderland fans believe Manchester City loanee Callum Doyle will have the greatest impact from their nine new summer signings.

It was announced in July that Doyle had joined the North East club on a season-long loan and he's already made a stellar impression.

Sunderland boss Lee Johnson described Doyle as an 'outstanding young talent' upon the completion of his temporary switch in July and the City academy graduate has since started every one of the former Premier League club's games in the third division.

Doyle has played a key role in Sunderland winning four out of their five games and now their supporters are clearly great admirers.

That's because, in the Sunderland Echo's summer transfer window survey, the 17-year-old was tipped to make the biggest impact from the club's multiple summer additions, with 53 per cent of fans voting that Doyle would be the greatest success this term.

Sunderland supporters also haven't hidden their affection for Doyle on social media in recent weeks.

Doyle is currently representing England's U19s during the international break.
