Manchester City receive injury boost ahead of Tottenham clash

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said he has not made decisions over his team selection ahead of the game with Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow (Saturday).

The two sides meet again at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow (Saturday), just three days on from an incredible night in Manchester as Spurs booked their place in the Champions League semi-finals, going through on away goals despite a 4-3 defeat against City.

And Guardiola has given the latest injury news from his City squad ahead of the game, with an update on Oleksandr Zinchenko, who has been out in recent weeks with a hamstring injury sustained in a 2-0 win against Cardiff City.

The Ukrainian full-back missed the Champions League quarter-final tie in midweek against Spurs, but has since taken part in training, Guardiola has confirmed.

"I will see how the players are today. Zinchenko made parts of the training," the City boss said, speaking at his pre-match press conference.

"We will see today how people recover and how they are physically and mentally. I’ll decide tonight/tomorrow morning in terms of selection."

Meanwhile, Guardiola said that City have already put Wednesday night's disappointment behind them as they look to focus on the Premier League title race following their exit from the Champions League.

"I saw them yesterday and we spoke and congratulated each other for the game we played and today we have training in the afternoon so haven’t seen them," Guardiola said.

"I hope for our best we have five games in the league and the FA Cup final, and we will see."
