Manchester City recall from Aro Muric from loan at NAC Breda with Claudio Bravo feared injured for rest of season

Manchester City have recalled 19-year-old Aro Muric from Dutch side NAC Breda in an attempt to resolve their goalkeeper injury crisis.

Ederson is currently the only fit senior keeper at the club after his deputy, Claudio Bravo, suffered an achilles injury in training which will likely rule him out for the rest of the season.

That has led to Muric being swiftly recalled from his loan spell in the Eredivisie, despite rumours there was no recall option in the Montenegrin’s contract.

Muric only made one league appearance during his short stay with NAC, keeping a clean sheet in their 3-0 win over De Graafschap last weekend.

Earlier this summer City sold Joe Hart to Burnley, after Angus Gunn was allowed to leave for Southampton on a permanent deal.

The only other goalkeeper at the club is 20-year-old Daniel Grimshaw, who plays for the club’s U23 side. Guardiola will pick between Grimshaw and Muric for a place on City’s bench for this weekend’s game against Wolves.
