Fiorentina's owner admits he's getting increasingly frustrated over contract negotiations with Manchester City linked Dusan Vlahovic.
The Serbian international banged in 21 goals in 37 Serie A games last season, and was touted to replace Sergio Aguero at the Etihad.
The Premier League champions are still in need of a striker, and Vlahovic is out of contract in 2023 so likely to be available for a knock-down price next summer.
Fiorentina are desperate to tie him down to a new deal and maximise the transfer fee they can attract for a player who has hit four in six this season.
But the club's owner admits he's getting increasingly annoyed as talks drag on with no resolution.
Commisso said at an event in Florence: "I don't know if he'll sign but we're calm.
"We've been working on it for months, one day we're positive and the next less so. Overall though I'm neither positive nor negative.
"I talk to Dusan and he tells me he's only focused on the pitch and I should take to his agents, then I talk to his agents and they tell me I have to talk to the player.
"We in Florence are professionals and we do everything seriously. If the agent comes here to negotiate, he has to negotiate.
"The thing I would say is that it would be the biggest deal ever given to a Fiorentina player, including (Gabriel) Batistuta and (Manuel) Rui Costa.
"He's taking a big risk (by not signing it), I've told him that. We've offered him a five-year contract at €40million gross. I'd have had to work for a year to make what he'd earn in three or four days. I don't know what football has come to.
"Am I getting annoyed? Yes, a little bit. But Fiorentina is not just Vlahovic. The group is there and they need to keep focused.
"What can I do? I'd like it to be done immediately, I'd hoped it would be done after the last international break but it didn't happen."
