Manchester City make major Harry Kane decision as Spurs face battle for Max Aarons

Here is your Tottenham morning digest on Thursday, June 24.

Man City willing to wait for Kane

Following the news that Manchester City have lodged a bid for Harry Kane, it is now being reported that Pep Guardiola is willing to wait for a year if a deal cannot be done.

football.london understands that Daniel Levy does not intend to sell and Spurs are expected to reject the offer out of hand.

Nevertheless, ESPN report that Manchester City are willing to bide their time for a deal in the hope that the north Londoners will be under more pressure to sell next summer with Kane having just two years left on his contract.

Lopetegui received Spurs offer

Whilst the future of Kane has understandably dominated the majority of talk around Tottenham Hotspur this summer, another major story has been the club’s successor for Jose Mourinho.

It has now been revealed that Daniel Levy sent a “dizzying” offer to Sevilla head coach Julen Lopetegui.

That is according to club president Jose Castro. However, football.london understands that is not the case and only preliminary talks were held with Fabio Paratici.

Tottenham face battle for Max Aarons

Even though Spurs are yet to appoint a manager, that has not stopped them from looking for potential recruits.

According to Sky Sports, the north Londoners have identified Max Aarons as a potential alternative to Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey.

However, they do face competition for his signature from the likes of Manchester United and Everton.
