Manchester City handed Kevin De Bruyne injury scare ahead of Carabao Cup final with Tottenham

Manchester City have been given an injury scare ahead of the Carabao Cup final with Tottenham, after seeing Kevin De Bruyne go off injured in the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.

De Bruyne hobbled off with a suspected ankle injury early on in the second half of the semi-final clash at Wembley, with the former Chelsea man replaced by Phil Foden.

The extent of the injury is not yet known, but De Bruyne will now be considered a major doubt for the Carabao Cup final against Tottenham next week.

City boss Pep Guardiola is set to give an update on his condition at full-time.

City and Spurs meet at Wembley on Sunday, May 25, with Jose Mourinho's men looking to put their Premier League woes behind them, having seen their push for a top four spot falter in recent weeks.

However, Spurs have an injury concern of their own for Harry Kane, who went off late on at Goodison Park last night with an ankle problem.

Mourinho did not give any details on the extent of the injury, adding that Spurs would know more about it over the coming days.

Kane is Tottenham's top scorer this season, with 31 goals in all competitions for Mourinho's men.
