Manchester City fans react to Tommy Doyle making his first-team debut in Carabao Cup

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has delighted fans with his team selection for the Carabao Cup clash against Southampton with Tommy Doyle making his first-team debut.

City are aiming to win the trophy for the third season in a row and the City boss has rotated his squad heavily for the visit of the Saints.

Both Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus start in attack with Angelino coming in for Benjamin Mendy at left-back.

Phil Foden starts in midfield alongside another City youngster - Tommy Doyle.

The 18-year-old is the grandson of Man City legend Mike Doyle and is considered one of the club's brightest prospects.

Guardiola has given the youngster an opportunity to stake his claim for increased minutes this season and City fans are excited to watch him in action.
