Manchester City fans think Pep Guardiola is right to name Ilkay Gundogan in defensive midfield over Rodri at Newcastle in the Premier League.
City have the opportunity to temporarily cut the gap to Liverpool back to six points in Saturday's early kick off, and Guardiola's strong side reflected his desire to earn the win.
Guardiola saw City fall to a poor 2-1 defeat in this fixture last season, and he will be keen not to see a repeat in the North East.
With Sergio Aguero out, Gabriel Jesus led the line with Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez in support. Kevin de Bruyne, David Silva and Gundogan were named in midfield with a refreshed defence of Kyle Walker, John Stones, Fernandinho and Benjamin Mendy.
The decision to pick Gundogan over Rodri was unexpected, but fans feel it makes sense after seeing the pair line up together against Shakhtar this week.
Rodri has not been the same since returning from injury, with Gundogan's inclusion at the base of midfield seen as his better position as well as allowing De Bruyne and Silva to play together.
