Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola gives the latest injury news on key duo ahead of Spurs clash

Tottenham fans have been dealt a blow after Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola confirmed that Sergio Aguero could feature against Spurs on Tuesday night, despite missing the last two games through injury.

The Argentinian striker missed City’s midweek win over Cardiff City, and their 1-0 FA Cup semi-final win over Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, with Gabriel Jesus deputising in his place.

The Brazilian grabbed the winning goal in the fourth minute, sealing their place in this year’s season-ending showpiece, a ninth straight win in all competitions for City.

Spurs host the Premier League champions in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League showdown on Tuesday, after a weekend out of action.

However, Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be wary of Aguero’s potential involvement, after Guardiola refused to rule the striker out of Tuesday’s clash.

Speaking to the club website after reaching the FA Cup final, he said: “Sergio Aguero is much, much better. He hasn’t trained but we will see tomorrow about Tuesday or (Crystal) Palace.”

Aguero has been in superb form this season, scoring 29 goals in 38 appearances, with four of those goals coming in his last three games.

Meanwhile, Kyle Walker was substituted at half time during the game at Wembley, after receiving treatment early in the first half.

The former Tottenham defender was involved in a flashpoint in the first half of the game, with the decision to book Walker reviewed by VAR after a clash with Brighton's Alireza Jahanbakhsh over a possible red card for the Manchester City man.
