Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola gives injury update on key midfield stars

Pep Guardiola has admitted he doesn't know whether Manchester City midfielders Kevin de Bruyne and Fernandinho will be fit enough to play their two remaining Premier League games.

And this will follow the Reds' clash with Newcastle on Saturday evening.

Should Jurgen Klopp's side claim all three points from the Magpies, the impetus will be back on City for the penultimate time.

Guardiola confirmed he will be without Belgian star De Bruyne.

When asked about Fernandinho, who picked up an injury in City's 2-0 win at Old Trafford last month, Guardiola gave a short answer.
