Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola claims Liverpool have had it 'easy' in Premier League title race

Pep Guardiola claimed Liverpool have had it "easy" in their Premier League title battle with Manchester City.

The Spaniard spoke out after watching his side beat Leicester City 1-0 in a tense game that saw them return to the top of the table, one point ahead of the Reds , with one game to go.

He believes that all the onus has been on his players to produce and it's been more difficult for the defending champions because Jurgen Klopp's men have been able to play "without pressure".

"It was an incredible performance - incredible. I'm so sorry but it was so good," he said after beating the Foxes.

"We won 1-0 in Burnley but we didn’t concede one corner, one shot on target. We controlled the games. We were much better than the opponents.

The big Jurgen Klopp calls to help Liverpool cope without Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino against Barcelona

"When we play a game, we try to be better than the opponents. We were better than them for the last two or three months. Sometimes you need a goal like from Vinnie today. Sometimes you hit the post, sometimes you get a penalty not given again -  two times in a row no penalty given so 2-0 for the opponents.

"It was outstanding the way we played in the second half especially with the character, the personality. Knowing how difficult it is, we handled the emotions knowing that if you don't win you will not be champions.

"Liverpool right now play without pressure because they know it is not in their hands. It is easy to play in these kind of games. We have the pressure because we can lose because it is in our hands but we deserve to be in that position.

"We have one more game left and we will try."

Liverpool face Wolves at Anfield on the final day while City travel to Brighton with the outcome of those matches deciding who wins the Premier League title.
