Manchester City annihilated Watford with five goals in 18 minutes

Reigning Premier League champion Manchester City suffered a shocking loss last weekend to Norwich, but Pep Guardiola’s side rebounded on Saturday by embarrassing Watford in the opening 18 minutes of the game.

Manchester City hung five goals on Watford in just 18 minutes, setting a Premier League record for the quickest 5-goal advantage, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

David Silva opened the scoring in the first minute of play, redirecting a phenomenal cross from Kevin De Bruyne past the goalkeeper.

Sergio Aguero added a penalty in the seventh minute, before Riyad Mahrez scored from a free kick in the 12th minute.

Nicolas Otamendi extended Manchester City’s lead to five in the 18th, knocking in a cross from Aguero into an empty net.
