Manchester City and Chelsea fans can rent a luxury £20 Champions League Final suite in team hotels - and Eric Cantona is playing butler in one

The Lowry in Manchester is renting out a room for City fans to watch the Champions League final in a luxury suite with big screen TVs.

The hotel where Jose Mourinho lived in a short-lived Manchester United career is offering one room with large TVs, luxury room service and a kit bag full of exclusives as part of a new promotion with hotel company Hotels.com.

Hotels.com is offering nine of the luxury suites to competition winners across the country and The Lowry is one of the nine to offer the deal.

However, it comes with one catch - one of the rooms will come with a meet and greet with Manchester United legend Eric Cantona.

It says: "With rooms available at nine hand-picked hotels across Europe, each suite offers all the perks that come with staying in a luxurious hotel: room service, plush beds, large TV’s, an exclusive kit bag filled with goodies and more importantly, peace and quiet!

"What’s more, one lucky guest will have the opportunity to spend their getaway evening with the King himself, Mr Eric Cantona!"

The Lowry Hotel is a popular choice with football teams, with visiting teams regularly using it as a team base.

The Champions Leagues Final takes place on Saturday 29th May between Manchester City and Chelsea. It will be City's first ever appearance at the pinnacle of European club football, while Chelsea will be hoping to add a second Champions League title to the trophy cabinet under the ownership of Roman Abramovich.

The final was set to be played in Istanbul but with Turkey placed on the red list, meaning British travellers are not allowed to travel there, talks have been ongoing with UEFA to move the match to another venue in the UK or in a green list country such as Portugal.
