Manchester City ace Gabriel Jesus reveals the one Chelsea player that he rates highly

Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus has heaped praise on Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

The Brazilian international scored the only goal of the game at Stamford Bridge when the two Premier League heavyweights met on Saturday afternoon, a result that allowed City to leapfrog the Blues into second place on goal difference.

Pep Guardiola's side dominated the highly-anticipated encounter as the west Londoners failed to register a single shot on target in a bitterly disappointing display.

Lukaku struggled to get a foothold in the game, often finding himself isolated upfront whilst City defenders Ruben Dias and Aymeric Laporte enjoyed productive performances against the prolific Belgian.

Now, Jesus admitted his admiration for the former Inter Milan hitman, who netted a whopping 64 goals in just 95 games for the Nerazzurri.

“They [Chelsea] were strengthened by the arrival of [Romelu] Lukaku," Jesus told ESPN Brazil.

"He’s a player that I really like, a goalscorer, very strong, physically, technically. They have strengthened themselves and come even stronger.”

Lukaku will hope to prove Jesus' comments right and get back to his goalscoring ways, having already scored on four occasions for the Blues this term.

The 28-year-old netted against London rivals Arsenal last month and bagged a brace against Aston Villa before a crucial match-winning header against Zenit Saint Petersburg in the UEFA Champions League.

Chelsea will hope to secure their second European win of the season against Italian giants Juventus this week as they travel to Turin to face Max Allegri's side in a highly-anticipated group stage clash.

The west London outfit then host Southampton in the Premier League this Saturday before the international break offers a two-week break in club football.
