Manchester-born Tony and Barrie Drewitt-Barlow made headlines in the late 1990s, when they became the first gay men in the UK to become fathers through a surrogate.
The couple, aged 55 and 50 respectively, grew up on council estates in Longsight and Wythenshawe before becoming millionaires, thanks to their medical research company Euroderm.
They made legal history when they won the right to become the first same-sex couple to be jointly named parents on the birth certificate of their test-tube twins, Saffron and Aspen - both now 19.
The couple also have a son Orlando, 16, and twin boys Jasper and Dallas, nine.
But after a whirlwind 32-year romance, Tony and Barrie have now called time on their relationship, with Barrie now dating their daughter's ex-boyfriend.
The pair are now set to divorce after Barrie announced he has fallen "head over heels" for daughter Saffron's former partner, Scott Hutchinson.
Both Tony and Saffron, are said to have given the couple their blessing after their secret nine month romance was revealed.
And the three men are all living happily under the same roof in a £6million mansion in Florida.

On Saturday night, Scott, 25, announced it was "time for the world to know" about his relationship with Barrie.
Barrie also broke his silence, and told The Sun, he was "not having a midlife crisis" and despite the age gap between him and Scott, it 'felt right.'
He said: “I’ve fallen in love with Scott and he has done the same. I feel stupid at my age to have these feelings about someone other than Tony and half my age.
"But when you know something is right, it’s right. We have not made definite plans but I would like to marry Scott.
“I’m not having a mid-life crisis - if I was having one I’d buy myself a Porsche 911. This is the real deal."
Scott, who has been Barrie’s PA for seven years, became “a shoulder to cry on” after Tony was diagnosed with throat cancer - which he is now in remission for.
The former couple, who now have an estimated combined fortune of £40million, owned properties in Cheshire and Manchester city centre before moving to the USA.
They now spend their time between a £6million Florida water-front property and a sprawling Essex mansion.
In recent years, Barrie said the couple's sex life had dwindled and they were sleeping in separate bedrooms due to his snoring. However, the pair still see each other as their "true loves".
Barrie added on Facebook: "I’m not sure what the big deal is myself, things don’t always work out in relationships for one reason or another, but Tony and I are both very happy about the way things have turned out.
"Regardless of the negativity regarding our relationship, we will both be there for each other through this very difficult time."
