Police have made an arrest after a man with a knife was reported at Manchester Arndale shopping centre.
Footage posted on social media showed a large number of police vehicles and ambulances outside the centre on Friday evening.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed a man had been arrested and added "there is not believed to be a wider threat to the community".
It comes after four people were hurt when a man armed with a large knife lunged at shoppers at the centre last week.
The force tweeted: "Police remain in attendance at Manchester Arndale Centre following reports of a man with a knife.
"Officers attended and a man has been arrested. He has been taken into custody for questioning.
"There are no reported injuries. There is not believed to be any wider threat to the community.
"Police are remaining in the area to reassure the public."
A spokeswoman for North West Ambulance Service confirmed no one had been taken to hospital.
She told the Standard: "We were asked to attend. There were no patients and we are not dealing with any casualties."
Last Friday, a 40-year-old man sparked a terror alert when he launched an attack on passers-by on the ground floor of the centre.
