A large anti-austerity national demonstration is taking place in Manchester this weekend. The “Take Back Manchester” demonstrations has been planned to coincide with the Conservative party conference, which gets underway in the city on Saturday.
The main event is a mass demonstration march on Sunday, organised by the TUC and the People’s Assembly.
Tens of thousands are expected at the various protests and events, with Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and the Green Party’s Natalie Bennett both expected to speak at rallies over the weekend.
Are you taking part? If so, we want to hear from you. How have you, your friends and your family been affected by austerity? As well as taking part in the protest, what are you doing to highlight and tackle the cuts?
