Manchester Airport arrivals and departures board - check flight times and details

Summer is finally upon us and more than 56,000 people are expected to pass through Manchester Airport as they jet off for the holidays.

That just adds to the millions of passengers who will make their way through during the year.

The airport, which celebrated its 80th birthday in 2018, has seen a lot of change in the past 12 months.

Work is currently ongoing on a £1 billion expansion programme which will double the size of Terminal 2.

In March, the first set of flights took off from the new state-of-the-art passenger pier which has 11 boarding gates.

And by 2020, 15 new venues will have opened in the new terminal giving diners plenty of food and beverage options before they head off on their holidays.

Manchester Airport itself is easily accessible by train, car, bus or coach.

If driving, the airport is nine miles south of Manchester city centre, next to the M56 and with easy links to the M6, M60 and M62.

The postcode for the airport is M90 1QX.

Trains to the airport run regularly to and from Manchester Piccadilly, taking just 20 minutes with the station is located right in the centre of the airport campus.
