Grimsby Town boss Michael Jolley says there has been no contact from Nottingham Forest over youngster Jock Curran.
Last week, the Reds were reported to be interested in the 18-year-old midfielder – though it is unlikely that would be with a view to him being involved with Sabri Lamouchi’s first-team.
Curran was offered his first professional contract with the League Two club at the end of last season, having impressed for their youth team and earned call-ups to the senior side.
And Jolley has dismissed rumours of him heading to the City Ground.
“There’s nothing to say, really,” he told Grimsby Live.
“I haven’t heard anything myself, unless somebody else at the club has been contacted.

“As far as I’m aware there’s nothing in that until Nottingham Forest contact us directly.”
Curran signed for the Mariners two years ago, after being released by Doncaster Rovers.
He has yet to make his competitive debut for Jolley’s side, but has been involved in pre-season friendlies against Cleethorpes Town, Grantham and Boston United this summer.
The teenager is said to be highly thought of at Blundell Park.
His father, Terry, wore the Garibaldi during his playing career, spending a couple of years on the banks of the River Trent from 1975 to 1977.
