Management jobs up for grabs at Aldi stores across Nottinghamshire - and you could earn up to £60,000

A supermarket giant is taking applications for 20 new management positions across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire - which could see successful applicants earning almost £60,000 after just four years.

Discount supermarket Aldi is on the hunt for five store managers and 15 assistant store managers across its sites in Nottingham, Mansfield and east Derbyshire.

It is thought the recruitment drive will provide a "welcome boost" to the economy, with the store offering one of the highest rates of pay in the supermarket sector.

Responsible for the operation of a multi-million pound store, Aldi managers can expect to receive a salary of £45,565, rising to £59,420 after just four years.

With the role being described as fast-paced and varied, "hardworking and driven" candidates are being targeted, particularly those with leadership experience.

For people looking to take their management experience to the next level, Aldi’s assistant store managers are responsible for supporting the manager to reach store targets and ensure the team is run efficiently.

As well as a starting salary of £31,770, which rises to £38,745 after four years, successful applicants are also given the opportunity to progress to store manager position.

Colin Breslin, regional managing director at Aldi, said: “As Aldi’s popularity and increased demand for award-winning products continues to grow, we’re in a great position to create a number of opportunities in this area.

“As an award-winning employer, Aldi offers fantastic benefits, from competitive pay, a fantastic working environment and an abundance of progression opportunities for its colleagues.

"We are invested in every colleague’s long term career development to ensure our teams feel engaged, challenged and motivated.”

Scott Knowles, chief executive for the East Midlands chamber of commerce (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire) said: "Nottinghamshire and the greater East Midlands have a robust economy and the fact that jobs are still being created in the county has to be good for the region as a whole."
