A former relative of ex-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort pleaded guilty to criminal charges earlier this year _ and has reportedly met with special counsel Robert Mueller's investigators, according to a person familiar with the matter.
Jeffrey Yohai, Manafort's former son-in-law, pleaded guilty to federal conspiracy charges in California in January relating to real estate loans on properties in New York and California, a source familiar with the case told the New York Daily News.
Public records show Manafort and Yohai made multiple joint real estate ventures in both states.
Yohai has met with Mueller's investigators since pleading guilty, a source confirmed to The Wall Street Journal.
A spokesman for Manafort declined to comment.
Manafort was indicted by Mueller on a laundry list of charges last year, including conspiracy against the U.S., money laundering and bank fraud. He faces two trials, one in Virginia and one in Washington, D.C., and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
