Man wounded in midday shooting on Dan Ryan near 84th Street

A man was wounded in a shooting on the Dan Ryan Expressway late Tuesday morning.

The man was shot around 11:55 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 94 near 84th Street, according to the Illinois State Police.

The man was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, Chicago fire officials said. State police said he his injuries were not life-threatening.

Illinois State Police asked anyone with information to call (847) 294-4400.
