A man is in custody after allegedly shooting another man during a confrontation Wednesday in Fuller Park on the South Side.
A 28-year-old and a 33-year-old were arguing about 5:10 p.m. on the sidewalk in the 4200 block of South Wells Street when the younger man pulled out a handgun and opened fire, Chicago police said.
The older man was hit in the leg and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said.
The 28-year-old retreated to a home, where officers took him into custody and recovered a weapon, police said. Charges are pending.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
