Man wounded in Chatham shooting

A man was in good condition after he was shot Friday morning in the Chatham neighborhood.

The 27-year-old was shot by someone who pulled up in a dark-colored SUV, yelled at him and then opened fire, Chicago police said in a statement.

The shooting happened about 5:30 a.m. in the 7500 block of South Yale Avenue, police said.

He took himself to Stroger Hospital with three gunshot wounds to his arm.

No one was in custody.
