A man and woman were wounded when they were shot Tuesday in Lawndale on the West Side.
A 23-year-old man, an 18-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy were in a parked vehicle about 2:48 p.m. in the 3900 block of West Polk Street when someone wearing a face mask came out of the gangway and opened fire, Chicago police said.
The suspect followed the vehicle on foot and continued firing shots as the man drove westbound on Polk, police said. The man was grazed in the abdomen, and the woman was shot in both legs.
Both took themselves to Stroger Hospital in good condition, police said. The teen wasn’t struck, and the suspect ran off through a gangway, police said.
No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
